Raiza de los Ríos-Fernández was born on the island of Cuba where she could have been a product of Communist education, but thankfully was instructed biblically at home as well as covered by the armor of God through her parents’ prayers. Once she arrived in the United States she lived in Michigan, New Jersey, Florida and Tennessee where she acquired a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Southern Adventist University (SAU). Raiza has been a teacher for almost 20 years, and her greatest joy is to integrate Bible into every subject. After all, God is the creator of every good and perfect gift. At present, she has been led to Georgia where her husband, Leonard is employed by the Southern Union Conference, and she is assisting the Certification Registrar and Secondary Education Associate. She enjoys music, reading, cooking, and keeping up with her daughters Brianna, a senior at AAA, and Kassandra, a sophomore at SAU.
