‘A pre-heaven reunion:’ Church members come together for the Eastern Kentucky Camp Meeting, Memphis Festival of Faith

More than 300 people gathered to attend the Eastern Kentucky Camp Meeting and the Memphis Festival of Faith on March 24 to 25 and March 31 to April 1, respectively. After a three-year hiatus, this year’s special program, which was planned by the Kentucky-Tennessee Conference (KYTN) administration office, followed the theme “Growing Together in Christ.”

The guest speaker was KYTN Youth Director, Edward Marton. Throughout both weekends, attendees were blessed with inspiring sermons and uplifting musical numbers. In addition to the spiritual activities, the event included departmental reports which allowed church members to stay up to date on the latest news and activities within the conference.

“It truly was a blessing to gather together and connect with our church family,” KYTN Vice President Mike Hewitt said. “It's a beautiful thing when we can all be united in faith as we grow closer to Him and share in the power of His love.”

Those in attendance of the Eastern Kentucky Camp Meeting and the Memphis Festival of Faith were united in their commitment to strengthen their relationship with each other as Christian and with God. The events were a success, and many attendees expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to worship together.

“I felt like it was like a ‘Pre-heaven reunion,’” said Carol Courtney, member of the Richmond, KY, Church. “I loved seeing friends that I rarely get to see and meeting new ones that I'll be blessed to spend eternity with.”
